Resource details
- Summary
- This map presents flood-related damage to Upper Trishuli-1 (UT-1), a 216 MW hydropower project under construction in Rasuwa District, Bagmati Province, Nepal, following the event of 26 August 2026. Pre-event Google Earth basemap images dated 29 November 2025 and 20 January 2026 were compared with post-event PlanetScope optical and Resurs-P panchromatic imagery acquired on 27 and 28 August 2026, respectively. The delineated areas correspond to flood traces identified by the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT). Visual comparison of pre- and post-event imagery indicates flood-related surface changes around key components of UT-1, including the main construction camp, the entrances to the main tunnel leading to the UT-1 power plant and an intermediate tunnel, and the weir. Initial reports indicated that the upper dam section and the main construction camp were each approximately 90% destroyed.
- Review findings
- Automated screening suggests potential eligibility. Public provider product record describes relevant event analysis and exposes an analytical document. Exact activation product identifiers resolve cross-interface duplicates. Product source acquisitions and creation dates remain separate. Private products are excluded from public asset export; map interpretation is preliminary. Independent human screening and manuscript inclusion remain pending. All 2 asset metadata records were assessed in REV-20260907-ASSETS-001; 2 have flagged follow-up. Asset screening and field evidence are available in the metadata review export. This does not assign resource eligibility or manuscript inclusion.
