Method and provenance

Production method
The 27 August observed flood extent was interpreted from drone, Landsat, PlanetScope, and Sentinel imagery and widened by 200 m to define the extraction area. Vector layers were assembled from OpenStreetMap, Overture Maps, Tasking Manager data, and selected volunteer field reports.
Provenance
Published by HOT through HDX. Component layers identify OpenStreetMap, Overture Maps, HOT Tasking Manager, NAXA, or volunteer field reporting as applicable upstream sources.
Validation
Unclear
Uncertainty
The flood boundary is an image interpretation for one date, while water levels changed during the event. OpenStreetMap coverage changes with volunteer activity, and Overture combines multiple upstream sources, including machine-generated data.
Limitations
The 200 m margin is contextual and is not evidence that every enclosed feature was flooded or damaged. Component layers have different currency, completeness, and provenance.
